{"id":33727,"date":"2013-11-10T09:37:53","date_gmt":"2013-11-10T09:37:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tcit.ae\/ubf\/%d8%ba%d9%8a%d8%b1-%d9%85%d8%b5%d9%86%d9%81\/strong-sponsorship-for-middle-east-banking-forum\/"},"modified":"2013-11-10T09:37:53","modified_gmt":"2013-11-10T09:37:53","slug":"strong-sponsorship-for-middle-east-banking-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tcit.ae\/ubf\/ar\/letest-news\/strong-sponsorship-for-middle-east-banking-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Strong Sponsorship for Middle East Banking Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2013-11-10<\/p>\n<p><em>First UAE Banks Federation conference attended by top tier representatives of regional and international banks<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Abu Dhabi,\u00a0<\/strong><strong><span dir=\"RTL\">9<\/span><\/strong><strong>November 2013:\u00a0<\/strong>The UAE Banks Federation, a professional representative body comprising 50 member banks operating in the UAE,\u00a0 has announced a strong field of sponsors for its first high level annual Forum to take place in\u00a0 Dubai on 26 November.\u00a0 The Middle East Banking Forum is the first conference to be hosted by the Federation and is being organised by the Financial Times Live and The Banker magazine.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsors confirmed for the event include Emirates National Bank of Dubai, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, First Gulf Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, MashreqBank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Union National Bank,, National Bank of Fujeirah, Bank of Sharjah and Ajman Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum is by invitation only and is aimed at leaders of UAE Banks Federation member institutions as well as top tier representatives of regional and international banks and other organisations serving and operating in the UAE\u2019s financial sector.<\/p>\n<p>The agenda of the one day conference includes sessions on how banks succeed in the Middle East, innovation in retail banking, corporate banking, the UAE as a regional financial hub, next steps for Islamic banking and banking beyond borders.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman of the Federation HE AbdulAziz Al Ghurair said:\u201dWe very much appreciate the support we have received from member banks in staging this important first annual event.\u00a0 The programme of discussions and speeches reflects many of the issues that the Federation have been focusing on this year.\u00a0 We are delighted to have such a strong list of speakers to bring an international best practice perspective to our members and to help us ensure that our thinking about the future development of the industry in this region takes international themes into account.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The UAE banking sector\u2019s assets have risen more than ten-fold from US$49 billion in 1995 to US$509 billion (net) in mid-2013.
