Hamad Buamim.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Abu Dhabi, 17 March, 2021:<\/strong>\u00a0 The Board of Directors of UAE Banks Federation (UBF), held its first virtual meeting for this year to review latest developments in the banking sector and industry\u2019s response to COVID-19 as well as approve UBF\u2019s objectives and strategic plan for the year 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting highlighted UBF Technical Committees\u2019 2021 endeavors and projects, the mutual and joint discussions and initiatives with Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), UAE Banks\u2019 Trust Index results for the year 2020, UBF\u2019s 2020 Annual Report, review of UBF\u2019s 2020 audited financial statements and auditors\u2019 report, the estimated budget for 2021, as well as the agenda for UBF\u2019s ordinary general assembly meeting, which is planned for next week. The Board of Directors also approved several changes in memberships.<\/p>\n<p>H.E. AbdulAziz Al-Ghurair, Chairman of UAE Banks Federation, expressed UBF Board of Directors\u2019 sincere thanks to departing members for their much valued and appreciated efforts, contributions and support during their presence on UBF\u2019s Board of Directors and welcomed H.E. Hamad Buamim, who represents Dubai Islamic Bank, to UBF as a new Board of Directors member, who will undoubtedly add great value from his experience and knowledge in the banking sector.<\/p>\n<p>H.E.
