UBF\u2019s CEOs\u2019 Advisory Council discusses the Nationalization Strategy in the banking sector, reveals Trust Index results for the UAE banking sector for the year 2020, celebrates \u201cGhaya\u201d graduation ceremony with the Authority of Social Contribution-Ma\u2019an, and discusses various initiatives with Central Bank of the UAE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abu Dhabi, 17th March, 2021<\/strong>:\u00a0 UAE Banks Federation (UBF) held its 1st 2021 CEOs\u2019 Advisory Council\u2019s meeting, which convened virtually and was attended by CEOs\/GMs of UBF Members and was chaired by H.E. AbdulAziz Al-Ghurair, Chairman of UBF.<\/p>\n

The meeting focused on UBF Technical Committees\u2019 2021 endeavors and projects, including \u201cNationalization Strategy in The Banking Sector\u201d with UBF\u2019s HR Committee, the 2nd phase of UBF\u2019s \u201cEthical Selling Framework\u201d with a special consultant, UBF Compliance Committee\u2019s recommendations against \u201cFraudulent Transactions facing the Banking Sector\u201d, extension of UBF\u2019s \u201cNational Fraud Awareness Campaign\u201d for year 2021, and \u201cVehicle Security Benchmarking\u201d.<\/p>\n

The meeting also highlighted UAE Banks\u2019 Trust Index results for the year 2020, UBF\u2019s 2020 Annual Report, UBF\u2019s \u201cRace Webinar\u201d which was held on 3-4 February 2021, 1st graduation ceremony of the Financial Literacy Program \u201cGhaya\u201d which was held on 7th March in partnership with Authority of Social Contribution (Ma\u2019an), and all the mutual and joint discussions and initiatives with Central Bank of the UAE.<\/p>\n

H.E. AbdulAziz Al-Ghurair, Chairman of UAE Banks Federation, said: \u201cBanking is all about relationship and customer trust. UBF will continue to work side by side with Central Bank of the UAE and UBF members on new initiatives to counter-act the effects of Covid-19, to maintain the high level of customers trust in the UAE banking sector, either by engaging and educating on best practices of financial management through financial literacy programs, or by increasing the appetite for digital banking services focusing on new innovative apps and digital banking solutions, in addition to focusing on customers\u2019 financial protection and safety by embracing and extending the National Fraud Awareness Campaign for the year 2021 in partnership with Central Bank of the UAE, Abu Dhabi police, and Dubai Police. We are confident of the work of our 26 specialized technical committees with the guidance, support, and coordination of Central Bank of the UAE and UBF members, to ensure that the overall long-term health and soundness of the banking system.\u201d H.E. continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
