9 December, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n The UAE Banks Federation\u2019s Advisory Council, has held its 6th meeting in Dubai, chaired by HE Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair. The meeting highlighted the Federation\u2019s key milestones for the year and discussed its outlook for the industry\u2019s developments and goals in the coming year.<\/p>\n H.E. Al Ghurair commented: \u201cOur discussions centred on our on-going work to implement the smart government initiative, the industry\u2019s Emiratization goals and objectives, and management and future development of the Federation\u2019s recently launched Code of Conduct. Members also highlighted the Federation\u2019s significant achievements this year and reiterated the importance of continued cooperation with the Central Bank in promoting a better banking environment that benefits both customers and banks.\u201d<\/p>\n The UAE Banks Federation recently hosted The Middle East Banking Forum at which senior bankers and economists from the region as well as a roster of high-level regional and international speakers discussed significant banking and economic issues.
